LITHIA - A 50-year-old woman who wandered from her home Sunday has been found tonight, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
Margherita Tanner, of 9721 S.R. 39 S., Lithia, was found at 7:49 p.m. in a wooded area after a homeowner at 2727 W. Keysville Road reported seeing her in the rear part of the property.
Tanner has scratches and insect bites but appears to be in good condition, sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said in a statement. Tanner was taken to Brandon Regional Hospital.
Tanner walked away from her house about 1:30 p.m. Sunday without her glasses and medication, deputies said. The sheriff's office set up a command post Sunday at the mobile home park where she lives and searched the area with K-9 units and a helicopter.
