BRADENTON — A 21-year-old woman was jailed for leading police on a high-speed pursuit through Sarasota and Manatee counties, authorities say.
Annjanette Jackson was charged with child neglect and held overnight in Manatee County Jail. A judge set her bail this morning at $14,000.
Authorities think Jackson was behind the wheel of a Ford Crown Victoria at some point during the pursuit. Jackson's young daughter, Kemijiah Keno, and a man, 24-year-old Jermaine Mclean, were critically injured when the car skidded into a sign pole.
Detectives initially were unsure who was driving at the time of the wreck or whether Jackson and the child exited the vehicle before it crashed.
