District Rules Cell Phones Must Be Kept Out Of Sight At School

When Hillsborough County schools open in August, students will have to keep their cell phones and other electronic devices out of sight or have them confiscated, school board members decided today.

The rule will be in effect from the time the first bell rings to the last bell of the day.

School begins Aug. 18.
