Regarding "Motorists Running Red Lights Getting Just Due In Port Richey" (Our Opinion, July 16):
The editorial concerning red-light cameras in Port Richey once again pointed out a "theory" that some people have that an inanimate object can hurt someone, and certainly not that person's stupidity.
Put me down as one who believes that rear-end collisions at traffic lights are caused by drivers who are following too close or not paying attention to their driving, or both.
Reminds me of my 17 year old's first auto accident where he rear-ended a car on a highway as they approached a traffic signal. His explanation for the accident: the other driver "stopped too fast."
