USF NOTES: Former Armwood High CB R.J. Anderson, who signed with USF in 2005 but instead played professional baseball, will not play at USF this fall, Armwood coach Sean Callahan said. Anderson wanted to play football for USF this year, but did not qualify academically. ...

Sophomore RB Aston Samuels, who suffered a broken shoulder socket last season, is not expected to play this season and junior OT Danny Tolley (knee, groin) won't be available until mid-October. ...

USF will play at Florida in 2010 and 2015, but Coach Jim Leavitt wants to play the Gators in Tampa. "Florida won't come here to Tampa," he said. UF AD Jeremy Foley has stated on several occasions Florida has no interest playing USF in Tampa.
