Tampa - A section of U.S. 41 in Lutz closed for about 20 minutes this morning as crews responded to an accident involving a semi-truck that was leaking diesel fuel.
One northbound lane of the highway closed as workers clean up the scene where a Winn Dixie semi truck leaked from its 75-gallon fuel tank, according to Capt. Bruce Delk, of Hillsborough County Fire Rescue. The truck, driven by Richard A. Stadler, 47, of Eustis, collided with a Ford F-150, driven by Ronald Scaglione, 41, of Land O' Lakes, according to a Florida Highway Patrol release.
The highway was closed in both directions from about 9:40 a.m. to 10 a.m., Delk said.
No injuries were reported and the roadway opened completely just before noon
