WFLA-TV, Tribune And TBO.com Win Journalism Awards

WFLA-TV, The Tampa Tribune and TBO.com have been honored with six awards in the 58th Annual Green Eyeshade competition. Presentations were made Saturday night, in Atlanta.

Taking first place in their divisions were three entries from TBO.com:
- Jeff Houck's "The Stew" (Best Blog)
- Mary Shedden, Kathy Moore and Vidisha Priyanka's "A Look Inside IKEA" (Feature Reporting)
- Shedden and Priyaka's "Toxic Trinkets" (Non-Deadline News)

Two entries from the Tribune took second-place honors:
- "Toxic Trinkets" (Consumer Reporting)
- Shannon Behnken's "No Money Down" (Enterprise Business Reporting)

A third-place award for Online Breaking News went to "Path of Destruction: Central Florida Storms". The prize named Clarisa Gerlach and the staffs of TBO.com, The Tampa Tribune and WFLA-TV.

The Green Eyeshade Awards recognize excellence in journalism among media in 11 Southern states. The contest is administered by regional directors for the Society of Professional Journalists.
