ST. PETERSBURG - Detectives are asking for help finding a killer in the July 12 slaying of a cabdriver.
Linda L. Faison, 39, a Yellow Cab driver, picked up a fare about 5:40 a.m. near Third Avenue South and 64th Street, St. Petersburg police said. A bicyclist found Faison's body a short time later on a one-lane service road at Azalea Middle School, 7855 22nd Ave. N.
Faison was killed at that location, and the killer took her cab, abandoning it in a parking lot at 7010 Sunset Drive S. in South Pasadena, detectives said.
The killer, driving erratically, tried to park the cab between 6 and 7 a.m., detectives said.
Anyone with information should call the St. Petersburg Police Department's homicide division at (727) 893-7164 or the communications center at (727) 893-7780.
