Ruskin Man Charged With Animal Cruelty, Attempted Murder

TAMPA - Fidencio Rosas was arrested Monday, charged with gunning down a Wimauma man's dog in June 2007 and trying to kill the man as well.
Joe Castaneda was in a car in front of his home when Rosas fired a shotgun, Hillsborough County deputies say. One round hit Castaneda's dog, killing it. Two hit Castaneda's vehicle. One round went through the door of Castaneda's home.
Rosas disliked Castaneda because Castaneda had dated a woman who then dated Rosas' cousin, deputies say.
Rosas was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Monday at Adamo Drive and Falkenburg Road.
Rosas, 21, of Ruskin, was charged with attempted first-degree murder and cruelty to animals.
He remained in Orient Road Jail today. No bail had been set.

He should have just stuck the dog in a hot car for 3 hours...then he wouldn't have had to waste bullets...or do you have to be a cop to get away with killing a dog that way?

What was the ethnic makeup of the dog, was the dog here illegally and soaking up "free" benefits, are there any offspring that we will have to support and finally will the "uhurus" show up in a couple of weeks to testify that there was no gun and the "man" was holding them down? Oh and finally is anyone involved "too pretty" for jail?

Oh, maybe you can't read this because I wasn't sure what language you posted in. I will try, Shud go back to mya country. I can read it and I am in my own country, I apologize if this offended anyone, that was not my intention, it was meant to be comical and meant to sound like broken english. In my observances it has appeared that hispanic men seem to be more possesive of thier women and more likely to react violently should thier women leave them and turn thier attentions to another man. Since this appears to me to be fact, I simply assumed that thier actions are more acceptable in other societies, much as it used to be in the united states. Not that many years ago in the US if a man caught his wife in bed with another man and he killed her and/or the other man, it was considered justifiable homicide by the courts.

Ah, NataS, you have reared your ugly head again! I knew you'd be back. After all, somebody's got to bash the cops incessantly, don't they? NataS, give us the name of one person who left his dog in his car with the AC on, only to see the dog perish because of unexpected AC failure, and was prosecuted. One verifiable name. Then you can claim favoritism for the police. Of course, I could mention that there's a big difference between an officer having to take his dog everywhere he goes because it's his job, and an everyday citizen who has the option of leaving the dog at home, but I don't think you'd understand the point. So I won't mention it.

Me thinks, I would check on the animal from time to time if I left it alone in a car for whatever reason. Especially, a $12,500 dollar animal purchased with taxpayer money. I'd check on a stuffed dog if I left it in a car for 3 hours and it cost that much.
Not really saying they should charge her. I doubt she intended to harm the poor animal. I do think that she should be terminated...you know...for being a little too stupid even to be a cop.
And Chief over there is shifty too. Seems funny that they have all their pictures posted all over the site like that.
Have a bbq and fire all those pigs.
