UP ON THE PHARM
Cherries are good for you. You can look it up. They're, like, natural and stuff. Who knew? Well, the people at CherryPharm did, which is why they produced a tart cherry drink that contains lots of antioxidants and melatonin, a chemical that helps you sleep. Not like NyQuil-give-you-crazy-dreams-while-you-hibernate sleepy. You can still operate heavy machinery after drinking CherryPharm. Cost: $20 for 8-bottle packs or $48 for a 24-bottle case. Available at www
.cherrypharm.com.
ROLL WITH IT
The idea of microwave egg rolls evokes thoughts of soggy breading, molten contents and burned taste buds. We tried a batch of Kahiki's assorted egg rolls and found them, well, pretty tasty. The pork and shrimp were our favorites, but the chicken and vegetable varieties were good, too. It's not the same as an egg roll that came out of the fryer, but what is? (Side note: Each egg roll has about 100 calories.) Cost: $3.99 for 9.75-ounce package of three frozen egg rolls.
