I'm easy to impress. I could watch a bright, shiny object all day. Or "Shawshank Redemption." That movie is like a tractor-beam for the eyes.
That being said, I like to think I know a cool doodad when I trip across it.
The other day while buying a cup of java at a local coffeehouse, I saw a bowl full of what looked like tiny plastic sticks.
The nice woman behind the counter explained they were plugs that fit into the lid of your to-go coffee to keep it hot and keep the contents from spilling.
They're made by a Washington-based company called StixToGo. A box of 2,400 units ranges from $39.95 (for stock Stix) to $47.94 (for custom Stix). Smaller packs run about $19.95.
They're available at www.stixtogo.com.
