A Palm Harbor man was arrested several hours after he bound a woman's hands and sexually battered her Friday, Pinellas County deputies say.
Christopher Lee Granado, 40, was charged with sexual battery with intent to commit great bodily harm, burglary to an occupied residence and false imprisonment.
The attack occurred within the 57-year-old woman's Palm Harbor home 2 a.m. Friday, deputies say. Details on her identity will not be released because she was the victim of a sex crime.
Granado entered the woman's unlocked front door, deputies say.
He repeatedly struck and kicked her in the face, breaking bones, according to a sheriff's office news release.
The woman's adult daughter interrupted the attack. Granado struck the woman's daughter as he left the scene, deputies say.
The victim was taken to a hospital after the attack. She was treated and released.
The victim and the victim's daughter both know Granado, Pinellas sheriff's Sgt. Jim Bordner said.
After learning of Granado's location through a tip, deputies arrested him about 9 p.m. near the Pinellas-Pasco county line.
Granado, of 706 Sparrow Ave., is expected to be booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
