TAMPA -
Police have arrested a man accused of fatally stabbing another man Wednesday morning.
Tampa police said Alexander Llamont Miller, 34, broke into the bedroom window of his estranged wife's home at 1901 W. Chestnut St. about 2 a.m. and fought with her boyfriend.
The boyfriend, Ronald Bennett, 43, was stabbed in the upper body in the fight and died of his injuries at St. Joseph's Hospital, police said.
A Hillsborough County sheriff's deputy on Thursday noticed a car matching the description of Miller's at 3704 Greenery Court. The sheriff's office contacted Tampa police, and Tampa detectives reported to the scene to arrest Miller, according to Tampa police.
Miller was charged with second-degree murder and armed burglary.
Records show police charged him last month with felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Court records show he was not prosecuted on the felony; the outcome of the misdemeanor case is pending.
