Prudence, a domesticated 4-month-old rabbit, was an Easter gift, but the owner could no longer care for her.
Rabbits such as Prudence can live a decade or more; she requires a home with air conditioning and cannot be left outside. She has her own personality and is affectionate and will cuddle. She also will grit her teeth when happy, a response similar to when a cat purrs.
Stop by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Suncoast shelter, 7734 Congress St., New Port Richey, or call (727) 849-1048 and introduce yourself to her or any of the other animals the SPCA has available for adoption.
