Now under new management, the West Pasco Habitat for Humanity ReStore is offering a number of sales specials.
"All profits from ReStore sales go back into the construction of Habitat homes in this area," said George McCoy, executive director of West Pasco Habitat for Humanity.
West Pasco Habitat, according to www.westpascohabitat .org, "is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization."
West Pasco Habitat is constructing its 16th and 17th homes in west Pasco County and has a goal of completing five to seven homes this year.
The organization's ReStore helps support the West Pasco Habitat for Humanity's building efforts.
The ReStore recycles overstocked, discontinued, new and used building materials donated by manufacturers, stores, contractors and individuals, according to a news release.
These donated items are sold to the public or used in construction of Habitat houses.
The west Pasco store is in need of donations and volunteers to work with customers and to man the cash register.
"Now under the management of Michael McGuire, the store currently offers 50 percent off sinks, 25 percent off hanging lights, and 50 percent off all paint selections," the organization's Web site states.
"We're having this sale to let people know we're here," McCoy said. "We want to offer the lowest prices, while still making profits for Habitat."
The West Pasco Habitat ReStore is at 3531 Grand Blvd. in New Port Richey; for information, call (727) 843-8786.
