Shortly after the Bucs finished their morning training session at the Disney Wide World of Sports complex, 10 members of the Bucs cheerleading squad heald a camp for a group of about 30 youth cheerleaders.
The girls, ages 8-13, are part of two area cheer squads, the Central Florida Jaguars and Pop Warner St. Cloud. With the guidance of their older counterparts, the girls learned the right way to stretch and warm up and several cheers, including, "Hey, let's hear it for the Bucs of Tampa Bay!"
After about an hour in the central Florida heat, the girls rehydrated and had their photos taken with the Bucs' cheerleaders and their manager, Sandy Charboneau.
Charboneau said the Bucs cheerleaders were disappointed they were unable to hold their usual training camp performance last night at Downtown Disney (a new outdoor stage is in the midst of construction there) but clinics like these helps them reach out to their fans in the area.
