Man, 52, Dies In Fire At House

NEW PORT RICHEY - One man died late Friday in a fire that damaged a home at 6521 Old Main St.

The victim, Tracy Lee Wilson, 52, was a tenant in an apartment in the house, Pasco County sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said Saturday.

The house is owned by Nili and Dana Twersky, according to county property records.

Doll said Wilson's landlord reported hearing a boom and found smoke filling Wilson's apartment. She called firefighters at 11:07 p.m. Fire crews spent about five hours on the scene.

The owner was unable to get Wilson out of the house, but escaped unharmed, fire officials said.

The Pasco-Pinellas Medical Examiner's Office will determine how Wilson died, Doll said.

The fire remains under investigation.
