Police Search For Compact Car In Fatal Hit And Run

Police are looking for a dark-colored small car they say struck and killed a 71-year-old man in Pinellas County late Saturday and fled.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Tam Bai Hoang of St. Petersburg was walking north on 62nd Street North when he was hit and killed by the compact car. The collision occurred a few minutes before midnight Saturday near 56th Avenue North.

There is no description of the car except that it was a dark color and small. It would have damage to its front, the highway patrol said.
