Shooter Kicks In Door, Kills Tampa Teen

Tampa police investigate the scene of a fatal shooting early this morning on West Walnut Street.

TAMPA - Police are looking for the person who kicked open a door and fatally shot a 17-year-old boy early this morning.

The Tampa Police Department said Levi Dixon, Jr., was by himself at a friend's house at 2536 W. Walnut St. at 4:19 a.m. when someone kicked the door open and shot the teen.

Dixon, 3211 N. Morgan St., ran from the house but died not far away, police said.
Investigators have no suspect, police said.
