HOLIDAY - A 22-year-old Hudson man was arrested Monday, accused of breaking in to a home and stealing copper.
Between July 2 and 17, Kenneth Andrew Adams, of 11517 State Road 52, Lot 93, stole a drill, ladder, two copper bowls, a copper pitcher and several pounds of copper tile roofing from a home on Ivy Lane, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report.
The homeowner told deputies all the copper tiles left to finish his roof were missing.
From that first day through July 23, Adams went to STR Recycling in New Port Richey and sold the copper for $3,000.
After being read his rights, Adams told a detective that he entered the home and stole the items, a report says.
He was arrested on burglary charges. He was being held Tuesday at the Land O' Lakes Jail with bail set at $7,500.
