ST. PETERSBURG - Police today released surveillance video of two acts of thievery.
In one of the cases, the thief walked into an office suite on the 11th floor of a downtown St. Petersburg building and stole a laptop computer, authorities said. That occurred at 12:44 p.m. July 23 in the Fidelity National Trust suite at 100 Second Ave. S., authorities said.
Two days later, the same person walked into the Hess Fine Arts jewelry store at 1131 Fourth St. N. about 1:45 p.m. He approached a display case, removed a valuable watch and then left on a bicycle, authorities said.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of the watch. Anyone with information should call the St. Petersburg Police Department, (727) 893-7780.
