TAMPA - Barack Obama plans to make one or two other local stops Friday after his economic town hall campaign appearance in St. Petersburg, but campaign officials as of late Thursday wouldn't say where.
Obama's next scheduled stop is another town hall gathering focusing on the economy to be held in Titusville on Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon, he'll speak to the National Urban League convention in Orlando.
Friday morning's gathering, at historically black Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg, is Obama's first appearance in the Tampa Bay area since a rally in downtown Tampa on May 21.
Pinellas County Democratic party chair Toni Molinaro, said the free tickets available to the public were all given out by around 6 p.m. today from Obama's St. Petersburg office.
"There was a line around the block when I got there at 3" for tickets to be given out starting at 5 p.m., she said.
According to local Democratic leaders, the campaign also was seeking undecided voters, identified by phone bank calls, to invite to Friday morning's events.
