TALLAHASSEE – Florida State avenged Friday's shocking loss to Bucknell by essentially taking batting practice against seven Bison pitchers in Sunday's rematch, pounding 25 hits in a 24-9 victory.

FSU (50-11) advances to face Tulane (39-20) tonight. If FSU loses, its season is over. If the Seminoles win, they will face Tulane again Monday night at 7 for the Tallahassee Regional title.

Bucknell's season is over, two days after perhaps the biggest win in school history, a 7-0 victory over the host Noles on Friday.

With Bucknell ace Mathew Wilson unavailable, FSU jumped on Bison starter Dylan Seeley for six runs in 1 2/3 innings on Sunday at Dick Howser Stadium. FSU led 13-1 after three innings, highlighted by a pair of home runs from catcher Buster Posey, including a grand slam in the third inning.

FSU, the No. 4 national seed, has scored 41 runs and recorded 50 hits in its last two games after Wilson limited the Noles to only six hits in Friday's victory.

Jason Stidham, Stuart Tapley and Tommy Oravetz each had three hits for the Seminoles, who became the first team to reach 50 wins this season.

FSU's victory set up a start for former Bloomingdale High star Ryan Strauss in Sunday's game against Tulane, which knocked off Florida and Bucknell in its first two games of the regional.
