DADE CITY - About 1,000 households here who get their water from the city are being advised to boil their water because of a broken distribution line.
The advisory is for customers in neighborhoods west of the U.S. 98 Bypass, east of 13th Street, north of Willingham Avenue and south of Robinson Avenue, said Mike Mulholland, Dade City's utility manager.
While the break has been repaired and pressure to the water system restored, the advisory will remain in effect until tests confirm the water is safe to drink, Mulholland said.
Those affected by the water notice are advised to bring water for drinking or cooking to a rolling boil for about one minute or to use bottled water.
