Police investigate near North Armenia Ave. and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. where one victim collapsed.

TAMPA - After unknown assailants shot two men tonight at Nebraska Avenue and St. Clair Street then fled on foot, the victims also took off — to get help, police said.
One of the men shot shortly before 7 p.m. tried to drive himself to the hospital, but collapsed at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and North Armenia Avenue, police said. He had a gunshot wound on his lower right side and was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.
The second victim, who was shot in the back, ran away to seek help, police said. He was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where he is listed in fair condition.
Police did not release the names of the victims Monday night, pending the notification of relatives.
The motive for the shooting is unclear and police are searching for the gunmen.
One attacker is about 30 years old with short hair and gold teeth. He was last seen wearing a brown shirt and was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.
The other is about 30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a short afro. He was last seen wearing a white shirt with red and blue stripes and blue jeans. He was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.
