Lido Key Penthouse Sells To European For $6.2 Million

LIDO KEY - A penthouse condominium at Orchid Beach Club sold Monday to a European buyer for $6.2 million.

"The nicest people in the whole world just called me and we started talking about Sarasota so they came here and we went looking at it," said Judy Kepcez-Hays, an agent with Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate. "It was love at first sight."

Kepcez-Hays said the four-bedroom, four-bathroom penthouse features stone and wood floors, marble bathrooms with heated floors, a fireplace, a home theater system and etched glass throughout.

The unit has 6,253 square feet of air-conditioned space and features full views of Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.

The asking price was $7.495 million. The penthouse had been on the market for about six months.

"It's a home in the sky," she said. "And it has the most beautiful views."

Kepcez-Hays has more than $26 million in sales so far this year.
