TAMPA - Police say they have found an 84-year-old woman with Alzheimer's disease who disappeared Monday night at a shopping plaza.
She was found about 7:40 a.m. today, confused but uninjured, according to the Tampa Police Department.
Carmen Pedrero of 1608 E. Ida St. was found behind a house on East Chelsea Street. She was sitting in a planter in the backyard and is back with her family, police said.
She was shopping with her daughter at North Nebraska Avenue and East Chelsea Street when she wandered away about 5 p.m. Monday, police said.
