BLANTON - A section of Interstate 75 North in Pasco County was to be shut down briefly about 2:30 p.m. so a medical helicopter could pick up a crash victim, according to Pasco Fire Rescue.
A man ejected during a single-car crash was to be flown to a Tampa hospital to be treated for trauma. He apparently struck a concrete barrier at Mile Marker 291, between State Road 52 and Blanton, and his vehicle overturned, ejecting him, authorities said.
It was unclear how long the section of the highway would be closed.
