ST. PETERSBURG - A store surveillance camera captured images of three people using a stolen credit card Monday just moments after it was taken from a vehicle at a nearby Gold's Gym, police say.
The St. Petersburg Police Department released the surveillance video today
The trio broke into a car at the gym at 4949 34th St. S. between 2:45 and 3 p.m., police say. Minutes later the three walked into a Walgreens drugstore at 3077 54th Ave. S. and bought $400 worth of gift cards with a credit card they had taken from the car, police spokesman George Kajtsa said.
They later tried using the stolen card to buy an additional $600 worth of cards, but the manager would not allow it, Kajtsa said.
