LUTZ - After getting into a woman's car early Tuesday morning and swiping several prescription pills inside, a Lutz man stole the woman's "pink lady" revolver and threatened to shoot her with it, according to an arrest report.
The robbery happened about 3:30 a.m. at Hanna Road and San Rio Circle in Lutz and was witnessed by two other people.
A Hillsborough County deputy arrested Christopher P. Amari, 22, about 2 a.m. today after spotting him driving in reverse on Whistling Lane and then pulling into the driveway at his residence, 17605 Whistling Lane, the arrest report states.
Deputy Karl Scholl III stopped Amari before he got to the front door of the home and wrote in the arrest report that he found a pipe filled with marijuana in the man's pocket.
After his arrest, Amari was identified by the robbery victim and witnesses, the report states. He was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault with a firearm, grand theft of a firearm, driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He remains in Orient Road Jail. No bail has been set.
