Polk County deputies are asking for the public's help in identifying the remains of a man found floating in a canal off Saddle Creek on May 17.
Volunteer sketch artist and former Polk County sheriff's crime scene technician Laura Sheffield drew a composite from the man's face.
Detectives have not recovered the man's arms, which were missing when he was found, making fingerprint identification impossible.
An autopsy showed the adult white male drowned, sheriff's spokeswoman Carrie Rodgers said. He was between 35 and 50 years old, with dark hair.
There is no indication of foul play, but alligators may have done some damage to the body before it was discovered, she said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Polk County Sheriff's Office at (863) 533-0344.
