Driver Killed In Poinciana Collision

A collision involving a tractor trailer and a pickup killed one person this afternoon in Poinciana, Polk County deputies say.

At 2:03 p.m., a white 1994 Ford F-250 pickup driven by 46-year-old Chris D. Tyler of Davenport was heading west on County Road 580 when it crossed over the yellow line and into the tractor trailer's path.

Tyler died at the scene.

The tractor trailer's driver, Jean B. Smith of Kissimmee, wasn't injured.
