TAMPA - Detectives are investigating a slaying that occurred about 10 p.m. Saturday near the Hidden Lakes Apartments.
Deputies were called to the complex near West Waters and North Armenia avenues and found Luis Morales dead, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Morales, 21, of 8510 N. Armenia Ave., was a homicide victim, the sheriff's office said, but it did not release a cause of death.
Morales and another person were confronted by two suspects as they walked near one of the buildings. Investigators are trying to determine a motive, the sheriff's office said.
One of the suspects is described as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 200 pounds. He has a Mohawk haircut and was last seen wearing a blue shirt and jeans.
The other suspect is described as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white jogging suit with red and blue stripes on the sleeves.
A late model, pearl-white Chrysler 300 is also being sought by detectives.
