TAMPA - A preschool teacher arrested Thursday after deputies accused him of fondling a 4-year-old boy was arrested again today on a charge of capital sexual battery, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said.
Brian Michael Lane, 29, of 7751 Deerfoot Drive, New Port Richey, has been accused by detectives of touching a 10-year-old boy in a sexual way at least 10 times between January and March of this year, Pasco sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said.
When Lane was arrested tonight, he requested a lawyer and refused to talk to detectives, Doll said.
Lane is being held tonight without bail at Land O' Lakes Jail.
When he was arrested Thursday, Lane was booked on lewd and lascivious molestation charges. Detectives said a 4-year-old boy was fondled during nap time at the Sugar Plum Daycare in Hudson.
The boy told detectives that he was inappropriately touched at Sugar Plum on several occasions between August and December when no other teachers were in the room.
Lane was released from jail Saturday on $10,000 bail.
