Nov. 30, 2007: Armwood 36, Plant 7: For the second time last season, the Hawks held Hillsborough County's most prolific offense to one touchdown. The regional final victory advanced Armwood to the state semifinals, where it lost to eventual Class 4A champion Miami Washington.
Aug. 31, 2007: Armwood 26, Plant 7: Making his regular-season debut as Plant's starting quarterback, Aaron Murray was sacked eight times as the Armwood defense smothered the defending state champs. Armwood sent notice it was the team to beat in Class 4A.
Nov. 24, 2006: Plant 38, Armwood 20: Plant ended Armwood's streak of consecutive state championship game appearances at three when it stunned the Hawks in the regional final. The Panthers went on to win the Class 4A title, while Armwood was left to deal with its worst playoff loss since a 41-15 defeat by Belle Glade Glades Central in 2000.
