TAMPA - A police crackdown on adult businesses in Drew Park -- at the request of residents and business owners -- netted the arrests of seven men Wednesday on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior, jail records show.
All those arrested were observed exposing themselves and masturbating in front of undercover officers, criminal report affidavits state.
Tampa police arrested one man at The Playhouse adult theater at 4421 N. Hubert Ave. and the others at Fantasy Land, 4715 N. Lois Ave., records show.
Two men, Joseph Linkiewicz, 48, of Jupiter and Marc Medina, 43, of Tampa, were being held at Orient Road Jail today. Their bail was set at $750, records show.
One man, Daniel Rodriguez, 31, of Wesley Chapel, was released after posting $3,250 bail. He also was charged with felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana, jail records state.
The others each posted $750 bail and were released. They are Oswaldo Feo, 42, of Odessa; James Gammons, 64, of Apopka; Michael Nardelli, 52, of Winter Haven; and Michael Zazzaro, 48, of Land O' Lakes.
The Tampa City Council in early May approved the use of $132,714 for the crackdown, paid for through tax-increment financing from the Drew Park Community Redevelopment Area, officials said.
