TAMPA - The Clorox Products Manufacturing Co. is doubling its reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever killed one of the company's drivers in February.
The company now is offering $10,000 for information about the slaying Feb. 22 of Roger Lee.
Lee, 66, was shot while sleeping in his truck, according to the Tampa Police Department. He was making a delivery to the Clorox warehouse on Columbus Drive.
After a warehouse security guard told Lee the plant did not accept deliveries until 8 a.m., he went back to his truck to rest, police said. Ten minutes later, the guard heard a shot and someone yelling for help, police said. Lee ran to the guard's gate, where he died.
Detectives found his open wallet and say robbery was the motive.
In addition to the Clorox reward, National Freight Trucking is offering $5,000 and Crime Stoppers is offering $1,000.
