TAMPA – A man described by federal authorities as a former leader in the Latin Kings gang has been indicted on federal drug trafficking and firearms charges.
Michael A. Garcia, 38, is named in a 13-count indictment that charges him with conspiracy to distribute Ecstasy and more than five kilograms of cocaine between December 2005 and June 2008.
He's also charged with being a convicted felon in possession of firearms and ammunition.
If convicted, Garcia faces a maximum of life in prison and a fine of up to $4 million on the conspiracy charge.
