Sun City Center Crash Kills 1, Closes Part Of U.S. 301

TAMPA One person was killed in a traffic crash on U.S. 301 near Sun City Center, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Gail W. Bamber, 51, of Riverview was heading south on U.S. 301 in a Ford Contour this morning when, for unknown reasons, her Ford veered into the northbound lane of U.S. 301, a Florida Highway Patrol release states.
A semitrailer driven by Robert B. Lunch of Maryland tried to avoid the Ford, but the vehicles collided, according to the release.
Bamber died at the scene.
