LAKELAND - A man was tied up and shot to death at his home, and Polk County detectives are asking for the public's help in investigating the case.
Henry Todd Bruder, 30, lived at 1024 Jacks Street. When Bruder did not show up for work at Advance Auto Parts this morning, a co-worker went to his house and found him dead, according to a news release from the Polk County Sheriff's Department.
Detectives also want to talk to Bruder's stepbrother, 42-year-old Dion Travis White, who lived at the same house. White was recently released from prison, where he was serving a sentence for violation of probation.
According to the news release, detectives are not sure if White is a suspect in the case or a victim, but they hope to find him and interview him.
Bruder's beige Nissan Altima is missing from the house. It has the Florida license plate I44 ZIL.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Dion Travis White or the car can call the Polk County Sheriff's Office at (800) 226-0344 or (863) 533-0344, or Crime Stoppers at (800) 226-TIPS.
