A woman was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence after she turned in front of a deputy's patrol car and the deputy ran into her, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.
Nora Gomez, 34, 8400 Flamevine Ave. in Largo, also faces a charge of failure to yield the right of way in connection with the crash just after midnight today at Starkey Road and 79th Place in Largo.
Both drivers received minor injuries, the sheriff's office said in a news release.
Gomez was headed west on 79th Place in a 1994 Izusu Trooper when she turned left in front of Deputy Daniel Dicicco, who was headed north on Starkey, the sheriff's office said.
Dicicco drove his patrol car into the rear door on the driver's side of Gomez's vehicle.
During their investigation, deputies determined Gomez had been drinking, the sheriff's office said.
