HOLE OF THE DAY
No. 13
There aren't many par 5s that can make Phil Mickelson make 9, but that's what happened Saturday on the 539-yard hole.
Mickelson, who grew up in San Diego and has been playing Torrey Pines ever since, hit four wedge shots from almost the same spot 40 yards from the hole, each time seeing the shot spin back to catch a slope and roll back.
SHOT OF THE DAY
Tiger Woods has won all 13 of his majors when at least sharing the 54-hole lead. He has a one-shot advantage entering today after draining a 25-foot eagle putt on No. 18 to conclude the third round, his second eagle on the back nine Saturday.
