TAMPA Lakeland police are on the lookout for two suspects in the slaying of 39-year-old William Joseph Hough.
Hough was found Thursday floating in the water of a phosphate pit in the Bridge Water subdivision, near State Road 33 and Interstate 4.
Arrest warrants have since been issued for Michael James Wilson and George Scott Sloan. Police spokesman Jack Gillen said the men had known Hough but he wasn't sure about the extent of their relationship.
Information linking the men to Hough came from a witness, Gillen said.
Sloan, 33, and Wilson, 26, are from the Lakeland area.
No further details on the men or the incident were available today, Guillen said.
