Police officers with dogs go store to store searching for suspects in a shooting at a Lakeland mall. The front security cages were locked down and as each search began, employees were allowed to leave a store.

LAKELAND - A man was shot near the food court of Lakeland Square Mall about 3 p.m. today and police have locked down one wing of the mall as they search for suspects.
The man was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center. His condition is unknown and his name was not immediately released by police.
Witnesses told officers that four suspects thought to be involved in the shooting have fled.
One is described as a black or dark-skinned Hispanic male wearing a white jersey with blue and teal lettering and jeans.
The second suspect is described as a black or dark-skinned Hispanic male wearing a blue shirt with red lettering. The third suspect is described as a black female wearing a gold shirt and jeans with white spattering and the fourth suspect is described as a black female wearing a white top and jeans.
The mall is not closed, only the wing where the shooting occurred, Lakeland police spokesman Jack Gillen said.
Police are searching stores in the mall for the suspects and are asking people to avoid the mall at 3800 U.S. 98 N., Gillen said.
The suspects are thought to be armed and dangerous, Gillen said.
