Hillsborough Deputies: Dad Uses Mace, Pole In Father-Son Fracas

A Thonotosassa man was arrested Monday after he sprayed his son with Mace and beat him over the head with an aluminum pole, deputies said.
Guy Leon Powe, 45, faces charges of aggravated child abuse and domestic battery after an argument with his son escalated at 2:45 p.m. Monday, a criminal arrest affidavit states. Hillsborough County deputies say Powe then sprayed his son and struck him with the pole.
Deputies arrested him at 3:30 p.m. Monday.
Powe is being held at Orient Road Jail. No bail had been set early today.
