TAMPA -- Police are searching for two men who held up a Hillsborough Avenue Shell station on Sunday.
Tampa police say the two men came into the gas station at 2356 W. Hillsborough Ave. about 11:30 p.m. Sunday. One pulled a gun and ordered the clerk to open the cash register while the other robber emptied the register.
They left in a 2000-04 white Suzuki Vitara. Police do not have a tag number.
The Tampa Police Department described the gunman as black, 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-4, weighing 250-280 pounds and 25 to 35 years old. He had a silver earring in his left ear.
At the time he wore a black shirt, jean shorts, a brown cap and brown boots.
The other suspect is described as black, 5-foot-7 inches to 5-foot-11, weighing 230 to 250 pounds and 23 to 35 years old. He wore a black shirt with a white emblem on the back of the collar, blue designer jeans with a logo, white sneakers and long white socks.
