SHOT OF THE DAY
Tiger Woods birdied the 18th hole to tie Rocco Mediate before winning on the first hole of sudden death. To set up that birdie, Woods reached the par 5 in two by hitting an iron from 217 yards to inside 20 feet and two-putting.
HOLE OF THE DAY

The 416-yard par 4 was selected for the first hole of sudden death. It worked, with a bunker on the left side snagging Rocco Mediate's tee shot and eventually leading to his bogey.
"Yeah, truthfully, yeah, I'm disappointed a little that I didn't beat him. Just disappointed. Not upset. But I'm obviously a little beat up right now. The only thing I take from this is I gave him the best that I had and it wasn't quite good enough, but it almost was. It wasn't like I got my butt handed to me today. I didn't want that to happen And it didn't."
