Tasty Morsels On TV This Week

"Top Chef: Chicago, Reunion," 10 tonight, Bravo

So, Stephanie won. Cool. Expected Richard to win. Dreaded Lisa winning. But Stephanie we can live with. She's got mad culinary skills. And she seems levelheaded and nice. With the finale over, it's time for the 16 contestants to reconvene, dish about each other and the judges, and take questions from viewers. Oh, and someone wins big coin as the viewers' favorite.

"Daytime Emmy Awards," 8 p.m. Friday, ABC
Food Network is the big non-soap opera goliath this year, with eight nominations. Giada De Laurentiis' "Everyday Italian" series is up for three of those. (Then again, "Bindi the Jungle Girl" and "FETCH! With Ruff Ruffman" are also up for three, so, jump to your own conclusions about the prestige factor.) Other notable food nominations: Rachael Ray in the Outstanding Talk Show/Entertainment category and Food Net's "Semi-Homemade Cooking With Sandra Lee" for Outstanding Achievement in Hairstyling. We're not kidding.

"Michael," 1 p.m. Monday, HBO

John Travolta plays an archangel with big appetites who is pursued by two news reporters and a dog trainer. Chicks dig him because he smells like delicious food. Makes you wonder why people at fragrance companies keep pumping out Antonio Banderas colognes when they could be making chocolate chip fragrance instead.

"I Survived a Japanese Game Show," 9 p.m. Tuesday, ABC

Oh, those wacky Asians. They do the goofiest stuff on their game shows, all for the glory of public humiliation before a nationwide television audience. On this summer series, 10 Americans do their part to prevent an entire nation from monopolizing the market for dignity-killing feats of human debasement. In one competition, they try to eat from a plate perched on the head of a partner who is running on a treadmill. Good times.
