HOLIDAY - The Pasco County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday released a drawing of a suspect in a June 9 stabbing and armed robbery that left a 41-year-old man hospitalized for four days.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late teens or early 20s. He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 170 pounds and has dirty-blond, straight, collar-length hair and light-blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt.

A second person was involved in the robbery and stabbing, but the sheriff's office said it was not releasing details on the other suspect at this time.

The attack happened when the victim walked to a 7-Eleven at 1133 Alt. U.S. 19 and was looking at alligators in the pond behind the store, the sheriff's office reported.

Two people approached him and asked him for money, then attacked him. At first the man thought he had been punched twice, but when he stumbled inside the store he realized he was bleeding and had been stabbed in the abdomen, the sheriff's office reported.

He also realized his wallet was gone, the report said.

The victim is out of the hospital and recovering from his injuries.

Anyone with information may contact Detective Chris Beaman at the Pasco sheriff's office, major crimes unit, at 1-800-854-2862, ext. 7841.
