TAMPA - The frying pan on the stove had hot grease and pork chops in it when Celestino Magill picked it up and unloaded its contents on his girlfriend, police say. Magill then threw a dinner plate at the woman as she ran from the kitchen, police say.
The plate shattered when it struck a wall.
Magill left the scene, but police arrested him at 11:54 p.m. Wednesday.
He was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Magill, 43, of Tampa, was taken to Orient Road Jail. His bail had not been set.
